Breaking The Chains Festival: Anti Bullying & Domestic Violence Event
Oct 17, 2026
2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Join Women In Distress of Broward County for the First Annual "Breaking the Chains Festival," bringing the South Florida community together for an afternoon of hope, encouragement & purpose on Saturday, October 17, from 2–8 PM at the Margate Sports Complex. This FREE, family-friendly event is dedicated to raising awareness about bullying and domestic violence, providing resources and support to those impacted by toxic and abusive relationships, and reminding survivors and families that they don't have to walk through difficult circumstances alone. Proceeds raised through the event will help support Women In Distress of Broward County, which provides services and assistance to adults, children and families affected by domestic violence.
Along with its important mission, Breaking the Chains Festival will feature a free live worship concert with Christian artists and rappers, including headliner:
Sam Llanes
Plus, performances by:
Anna Ly, Aluis, Lil Luke, BRB and Isis Tayler
Attendees can also expect martial arts performances, food trucks, local vendors, community organizations and resources offering assistance and support for survivors, families and young people.
The event is hosted by the Breaking Chains of Violence Foundation, 3rd Beat Studios and Women In Distress Broward. A OneBlood donation bus will also be onsite for those who would like to give back in another meaningful way. Admission and parking are free, and the Margate Sports Complex offers a covered venue for the festivities.
Come for an afternoon of music and community—and be part of an effort to turn awareness into action as South Florida stands together against bullying and domestic violence. To learn more about the First Annual Breaking The Chains Festival, click HERE.
