Gossip Is a Spiritual Issue

It has always seemed like gossip is a small sin, one that doesn’t really count. THAT IS NOT TRUE. Joy here and I have always struggled with gossip. It’s so easy to fall into the habit of saying things about people that you would never say to their face. As a Christian woman, I should be building others up and encouraging them. This world is hard enough on all of us, we do not need to be hard on one another! However, I’ve caught myself lately in conversations that I suddenly realize I would never have in front of the person I’m talking about! It seems like this is easier for women to fall into as we process life together. It’s time that we stopped the gossip and started the encouragement! The only way I got better at this in the past was to ask women close to me to help keep me accountable. If you have no one to gossip to then it helps to keep you from doing it! Let’s help one another in this spiritual issue!
