1. If you are in the trenches try to find the little moments you can enjoy and cherish.

The early years can feel loud, exhausting, and never-ending. But even in the chaos, there are tiny holy moments—sticky hands reaching for yours, giggles at bedtime, the way your child lights up when you walk into the room. Those moments may seem small now, but they become the memories your heart will return to. You don’t have to love every minute of motherhood to cherish the moments God places right in front of you.

2. "If I could go back, I would worry less."

So much of motherhood is spent worrying about getting it right—are we doing enough, saying the right things, making the best choices? But worry steals today’s joy while pretending to protect tomorrow. I try to remember, my children don't need a perfect mom, just a present one. Trust that God is at work in your parenting, even in the places where you feel unsure.

3. Don't compare yourself to one other mom. Your child is different than theirs and that's why you are a different mom.

Comparison can quietly convince you that you’re falling short when, in reality, you’re exactly the mom your child needs.

4."I wish I sat and read books more and took more time with them."

So much of motherhood is a whirlwind. I remember saying I would never turn down my kids when they asked me to play with them, but that's not realistic when you have more than one. 5. Find other moms a few steps ahead of you to walk with you and share advice.

Their perspective can remind you that hard seasons don’t last forever and that grace covers more than you think. Sometimes the best gift is a listening ear and the reassurance that you’re doing better than you realize.
