"The Mercy Tree" by Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf

Joy here: I stumbled upon an old Billy Graham Crusade on TV last night. I never watch these, but for some reason I was drawn to it. As I listened to Billy’s sermon and heard about the lives that were changed I was truly moved. This song came on by Lacey Sturm from Flyleaf. She shared her story of how God has changed her life and how much the cross means to her! I have been a Christian for a long time. I know what God has done for me and I can explain it to someone else, but sometimes the passion is missing. Hearing Lacey share about the “mercy tree” that God died on for you and for me was exactly what I needed to hear. She shared about God’s saving grace and how it has changed so many people’s lives. The song says “death has died and love has won!” Seeing God’s love through the lens of the cross reignited the passion that was missing in my relationship with Him.
