If you grew up listening to Christian music in the early 2000s, there’s a good chance you remember True Vibe and their song "Jump, Jump, Jump."

Their songs were the kind you blasted in the car with your friends or heard at youth group events—the catchy harmonies, the boy-band choreography, and lyrics that somehow stuck in your head for years. For a lot of fans (like me!) their music was just part of growing up.

So when I recently got the chance to sit down with the members of True Vibe for my Pure Joy Podcast, I had one big question in mind:

Where are they now?

Talking with Jonathan Lipman, Nathan Gaddis, Jason Barton, and Jordan Rowe felt a little like opening a time capsule—but what surprised me most is how they are all still serving God in different ways.

Here’s what life looks like for the guys from True Vibe today.

They Took Their Music Into New Seasons

After True Vibe ended, Jason Barton stayed deeply involved in the music world in Nashville. Today, he still sings professionally for artists like Amy Grant during her annual Christmas shows at the Ryman Auditorium. He started a new group right after True Vibe called 33 miles with Chris Lockwood. They went on to make 4 studio albums.

Nathan Gaddis and Jordan Rowe also continued making music together for a time as an independent duo called Sojourn Fare writing songs and sending their music to radio stations across the country.

Music may not be their full-time career anymore, but it’s still very much part of their story.

Many of Them Found Their Calling in Ministry

One of the most striking things about catching up with the band was seeing how many of them are still serving in full time ministry today.

Nathan now serves as a creative arts pastor at a church in Florida, helping lead worship teams and creative ministries while also running a company that supports churches with design and social media.

Jordan took a big step years ago when he and his wife moved to Florida to plant a church in Fort Myers that I have had the pleasure of visiting. Today, he leads a diverse congregation in the heart of the city and spends much of his time mentoring other church leaders.

You may have seen Jason Barton on stage at christian concerts doing pitches for non-profits like World Vision. Jason Barton looked at the other members and said something that really stuck with me:

“These guys love Jesus. They love their families. They’re in the local church pouring their hearts over people every week.”

It’s a different stage than the ones they stood on as a band—but their heart for sharing faith hasn’t changed.

Family Became the Center of Their Lives

For some of the guys, the biggest shift after the band wasn’t career—it was family.

Jonathan Lipman now lives in California and spends his days raising his young son, whom he describes as his greatest joy and calling in life.

And honestly, listening to the guys talk about their kids during the interview felt like listening to any group of dads catching up after years apart.

The boy band era might have included tour buses and huge crowds, but these days the highlights sound more like school pickups, family time, and chasing kids around the house.

The Brotherhood Never Really Went Away

One of the sweetest parts of the conversation was realizing how much the guys still care about each other.

Even though life took them to different states and different careers, they still consider each other family. In fact, the interview itself was one of the first times all four of them had been together in decades.

You could hear the laughter, the inside jokes, and the genuine love between them.

Some things don’t fade with time.

Their Music Still Means Something to Fans like Me

During the interview, I shared a clip from an old VHS tape my mom recorded years ago. My little brother—probably four years old at the time—was standing in our living room singing one of their songs word-for-word.

The guys laughed, but it also reminded them of something they hadn’t always seen during their touring years.

Their music had quietly become part of people’s lives.

Family road trips. Youth group memories. Childhood sing-alongs.

As we wrapped up the conversation, Jordan Rowe summed up the heart behind the band’s journey better than anyone could.

He said:

“Jesus changes everything. He changes your life, your story, and sometimes even your plans.”

Today the members are pastors, fathers, mentors, and leaders—serving people in ways that look different from their touring days but still reflect the same faith that shaped their music.

And honestly, that might be the most meaningful encore of all.
