What Happened When We Started Spreading Joy

This summer, had one simple goal: to spread a little more joy! I invited you along as I did a random act of kindness each week. Along the way, I was reminded that kindness doesn't have to be grand to make a lasting impact. Sometimes it's a handwritten note, an unexpected gift, a helping hand, or simply taking the time to make someone feel seen.

These acts of kindness were about so much more than brightening someone's day. They were an opportunity to share the love of Jesus in tangible ways.  Every smile shared, every encouraging conversation, and every unexpected blessing became a small reminder that God's love is real, personal, and meant to be shared.

If you did this with me, no doubt you learned a lot. I know I did! Something started shifting. In the beginning, I struggled to fit it that week's challenge into my schedule, but as the weeks went on I would get giddy about planning each thing. Joy is contagious and when you attempt to spread it, you will notice yourself choosing it even more.

As we wrap up this year's Spread the Joy campaign, we are looking back at the moments that touched our hearts and the lives that touched ours. We hope these stories and videos encourage you to look for simple opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your own community. You never know how one small act of kindness might open the door to some understanding God's love for them for the first time.
