If God created us to live and dwell in community, why is our first tendency to handle the rough stuff in our lives all on our own? When people ask how we are doing, our automatic response is “fine,” even if we are anything but fine. I am trying to learn to embrace the community that God has given me and allow those close to me into my struggles. Sometimes it’s hard to accept help during times of difficulty and even harder to admit to admit you need any help in the first place.
