From: WAY-FM1.) We are just as nervous for the first day of school as you and your child.
- We love what we do, but that doesn't mean we don't get nervous too. With a roomful of new students, the first day is always a little daunting. We understand!
2.) Pray with your children on the way to school in the car.
- If yours takes the bus, pray with your child before they leave for the day. This is a great way to grow closer to God with your family.
3.) We want what is best for your child.
- We want your child to grow and do well in school, but please know we are human too. It's not always easy managing a roomful of kids, and sometimes we can get tired. We wish this wasn't the case, but it is. So please be patient with us, and we will be patient with you, because we both want what is best for your child.
4.) Don't be on your cell phone when you pick up your kids.
- We know you're busy, but when you pick up your kids from school put down your cell phone and ask your child how their day was. On your way home, take the time to find out how your child is doing. Don't just ask yes or no questions, but ask questions that will get your child to open up and tell you about their day. This is a great time to grow closer and connect with your child.
