Gratitude for frustration

Posted 12 years ago - Jul 6, 2013

From: admin

I had a rough couple days for a multitude of reasons.  Life was a bit crazy and I was feeling frustrated…had a cool conversation with a friend of mine and vented a bit.

Then I felt like God gave me a much-needed reminder.  First, that my struggles and frustrations are centered around something that isn’t the most important.  Second, those same things that cause frustration have also been things that enabled me to see the best of humanity and benefit of serving.

I couldn’t have experience those great things without walking those frustrations, and though in the midst of them that fact doesn’t take away the feelings of anger and irritation, long-term, it sure does provide perspective.

I wish I clung to that “aha” a little more during the “aghhhhh,” but that remains a work in progress.
