WayFM | Nashville, TN is offering an amazing opportunity as a PART-TIME PROMOTIONS INTERN providing support to our Regional Promotions Director and representing our brand. WayFM | Nashville (88.7 & 89.9) Promotions Department also serves: Clarksville, TN (88.3), Bowling Green, KY (88.1), Louisville, KY (105.9 & 104.3) and Evansville, IN (91.5). We are part of a larger network of 50+ stations across the country, pointing people to Jesus with meaningful music and honest conversation.
Key Responsibilities:
Promotions interns will be organized, detail-oriented, motivated self-starters looking to gain hands-on experience in the radio industry. Daily responsibilities include, and may not be limited to:
- Posting on station's regional Facebook and Instagram accounts
- Handling listener relations by contacting prize winners
- Maintaining a prize winner database
- Assembly and execution of contests and winner selection
- Organizing and filing prize winner information
- Writing copy and performing web updates
- Assisting at various station events and appearances
- Assisting with Volunteer coordination
- Some graphic design
- Event preparation and some event coordination
- Must be able to receive college credit for Internship completion
- No experience necessary, however Customer Service experience helpful
- Must be 18 years of age or older, some college or radio experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must complete a standard Background Check
- Reliable; have a flexible schedule and be available to work at least 15 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
- May require lifting or moving up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented and responsible
- Proficient using computers. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Canva preferred
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Event experience a plus
- Strong Social Media skills with sites like Facebook and Instagram
- Ability to receive college credit - **this is an unpaid internship opportunity. WayFM does not provide housing or accommodations for out-of-town interns
