One Thing You Need to Realize Before You Can Be Unashamed of the Gospel | Building 429

From: Rebie WAY-FM"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile." (Romans 1:16)
What does it truly mean to be unashamed? Jason Roy had to dig deeper and figure out the answer to that question before writing Building 429's new album. He came up with an interesting perspective on what it takes to be truly unashamed.
"We spend so much time saying we're unashamed of the Gospel because, you know, we've been set free. I think we spend so much time talking about how we've been set free, but we spend very little time talking about what we've been set free from. If we were being really honest, I think our brokenness is a far greater bridge to other people than our pretend wholeness ever could be.

We can't be fully unashamed of the Gospel until we understand what that Gospel actually did for us. Christ set you free from your deepest, darkest shame and guilt and confusion. He loves you that much.
Once you let that sink in, you can't help but tell others about that kind of goodness and grace - unashamedly.

Before playing the song live in our studio Jason said, "This song, when we were writing it, it felt like it was a freedom song for me." And it's a great reminder of freedom for all of us.
