Wally, I listen to your radio show every day! In fact, for the last 3 years, WAY-FM has been all I've listened to in the car. Last year, my husband and I separated, and I felt my world was ending. Your show--the music, your banter, and the jokes--helped me through what I thought were my darkest days. Seven weeks ago, my 17-year-old son took his own life. Now, my faith in God is barely hanging on. I haven't been able to listen to music yet, so when y'all's goofy shenanigans end, I have to quickly turn off the radio. I have yet to be able to truly pray. I whisper through sobs. But listening to your show makes me feel a little bit normal...even if it's only for a short while. So thank you for what you do. The music has always helped me in troubled times, and I'm told I will once again be able to listen. Until then, I tune in for games, silliness, and just a tiny bit of laughter.

I am beyond sorry to hear about your son.  I cannot imagine the hurt you are going through right now. I understand how it would be hard to pray, but the good news is, so does God.  He understands our pain. That is why I love the story of Lazarus and how Jesus wept for Mary and Martha as they were angry at God for not preventing the death of their friend.  It shows that even though He saw the bigger picture and knew what would come of it, He still hurt when He saw them hurting.  I think it is still the same today. I know you will get to a place where the words will break through your tears and your faith will carry you through this.
